Project Manager (Refurb/New Build Projects) – Permanent, full-time

OVERVIEW:

As a project manager, you will be overseeing the running and coordination of New Build/Refurb projects. In order to coordinate projects to a high standard you must ensure you build a solid and collaborative relationship with the principal contractor relevant to the project. You must ensure that all builds are completed smoothly with premium quality and a focus on time, cost, and programme. You will be responsible for ensuring the site runs with efficiency and is completed as such.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. You must foster a strong relationship with each principal contractor that you work with.
  2. As a key representative of Vertec on site, you must remain professional with a high work standard at all times.
  3. You will be expected to lead any meetings that involve Vertec and the project team.
  4. If any issues occur on site, ensure you have liaised with the project team on the best way to solve them.
  5. You must ensure that on site health and safety is to a high standard.
  6. If any on site health and safety does not meet with requirements, toolbox talks must be carried out and operatives made aware of any mistakes.
  7. Method Statements and Risk Assessments will be produced and must include all on site hazards.
  8. Any onsite hazards arising from the RAMS must be communicated to site operatives.
  9. You must ensure all relevant site documentation is kept in appropriate areas.
  10. Ensuring build quality is always of the highest standards.
  11. To optimise build quality, you must make use of the quality assurance documents and issue these to the client at the end of the project.
  12. Take a collaborative approach towards project programmes.
  13. Monitor project programmes and advise of any delays, potential delays or areas of risk.
  14. Making sure all construction works are being carried out to drawings and specification.
  15. Make sure budgets are understood, working to these, and liaising with the relevant Quantity Surveyor for the project.
  16. Working closely with the commercial team to ensure the project is completed within time and budget.
  17. Preparing monthly reports to show all the above.
