Project Description

Work Completed : Light gauge steel frame structure, Single Ply Roof, Rainscreen Cladding, Windows, Reglit & Brickslips

Vertec are proud be part of the Refurbishment of this Veterans Aid hostel. We are in the process of adding a new floor to the building and our works include the demolition of the existing roof.

Once the roof is removed a bespoke Light Gauge Steel frame forms the floor, walls and roof of the new level by Hadframe. Equitone Linea, Nvelope brackets and Rockwool insulation form one the rainscreen systems. Whilst FastClad brickslips and Architectural Profiles create another, the later to provide a lightweight continuation of the existing brick building.

Windows are being replaced throughout the building using a Comar aluminium sash. Reglit glass planks create a natural light box/lantern to the head of the new staircase.

On the roof Vertec are installing a Bauder single ply membrane onto tapered insulation, accessories include Staka roof access hatches, solar panels and Velux automated rooflights.

To tie the different finishes together Vertec have worked with the Architect Wimshurst Pelleriti to provide bespoke fascias using Bailey I-Line and aluminium powder coated window surround pods.
